After learning about BMAPs, it is important to engage producers and business owners’ in conversations.

Some questions you can ask to encourage a positive conversation are:

  1. What do you think about water quality in Florida?
  2. Do you think water quality is getting worse or getting better? Why?
  3. Have you experienced any water quality issues? What was the issue(s)?
  4. Why do you think BMAPs are important to protect water resources?
  5. How can BMAPs improve water quality in Florida?
  6. What do you believe are the largest issues facing you, as you strive to comply with the BMAP?
  7. How will BMAPs impact your business?
  8. How do you plan to deal with the impacts the BMAP has or will have on your business?
  9. Do you think strengthening water quality control through monitoring TMDLs and following BMAPs will assist with consumer confidence in agricultural products? Why?
