After learning about the Safe Drinking Water Act, it is important to acknowledge members of the general public’s thoughts. Some questions you can ask to encourage a positive conversation are:

  1. What do you think about water quality in Florida?
  2. Do you think water quality is getting worse or getting better? Why?
  3. Have you experienced any water quality issues? What was the issue(s)?
  4. Why do you think the Safe Drinking Water Act is important to protect water resources?
  5. How can the Safe Drinking Water Act improve water quality in Florida?
  6. Do you take care of your home landscape/lawn? If so, how will the Safe Drinking Water Act impact your landscaping care?
  7. What do you believe are the largest issues facing you, as you strive to comply with the Safe Drinking Water Act as a homeowner who needs to take care of your landscape/lawn?
  8. If you have a home landscape to take care of, how do you plan to deal with the impacts the Safe Drinking Water Act has or will have on your landscaping care?
  9. What do you think about public involvement in involvement in protecting drinking water quality?
