Joy RumbleWhat is your favorite project or part of the PIE Center?

My favorite part of the PIE Center is getting to work on identifying solutions to address ANR issues so that ANR can continue to thrive into the future.

What are you currently working on?

Three specialty crop block grants, Florida Strawberry Research Education Foundation project, Mosaic/Farm Bureau/CARES project, and getting research disseminated to the public and academic audiences.

Do you have a hidden talent?

I sew. I made both of my prom dresses in high school and now like to quilt in my spare time.

What are you afraid of?

SNAKES!

What is a fun fact that no one may know about you?

My husband and I raise pigs and chickens and I like to attempt to take felfies with them – You know, farmer selfies.

If you could have any super power, what would it be?

Being in two places at once!

If someone asked you for a random piece of advice, what would it be?

Everything happens for a reason.

What are your hobbies?

Enjoying the outdoors, cooking/baking, sewing, watching baseball

If you could meet anyone in history, who would it be?

The players from the All American Girls Professional Baseball League. I have always thought the story of the AGPBL during WWII is intriguing and I would love to be able to go back in time and witness one of those games and talk to the players.

What is your favorite type of PIE?

Fresh strawberry pie
